Advent & Christmas
The St. Mark's Living Creche
Early in Advent, we celebrate the beginning of the season with a service of Advent Lessons & Carols. This liturgy, comprised of prayers, lessons, carols and anthems, takes place at 5 p.m. Afterwards, we gather in the parish hall for a meal and tree-trimming party.
At 5 p.m. on Christmas Eve, we gather for The Blessing of the Creche, Christmas Lessons & Carols (led by the youth of the parish), and Sung Mass.
At 10:30 p.m. on Christmas Eve, we gather to sing carols before the 11 p.m. celebration of the traditional Midnight Mass. This liturgy is followed by a champagne and sparkling cider reception.
On Christmas Day, a festive Sung Mass with Carols is celebrated at 10 a.m.
