The Concert Series

Concert series guest artist at reception in Memorial Garden

Akane Iida, pianist

The Music Guild, through the generous efforts and gifts of parishioners and the community, is able to present four free concerts each season. World-class talent, local and from across the nation, perform in our beautiful nave, filling the ringing space with sound of voice and various instruments, including the amazing 1929 Skinner organ. This past year's concerts included James Walker, organist, and the Los Angeles Forte Brass. The free concerts are followed by delicious receptions hosted by the Music Guild.

Another facet of the Concert Series’ endeavors links each event to a local community charity. At each program, information is provided to help us be more aware of needs within Glendale and the greater L.A. region, and an offering is collected to assist the work of the organization. The charity receives 100% of the ingathering. Last year’s benefitting organizations included the Young Verdugo Musicians Association and the L.A. Gay & Lesbian Center.
