Sunday Worship
The liturgy at St. Mark’s is according to the use of the Book of Common Prayer (1979). This treasure of the great Anglican Prayer Book tradition allows us to celebrate the sacraments and mark the times and seasons according to the ancient patterns. At our services we both use traditional language rites and still make use of the full breadth of authorized materials of the Church.
At 8 a.m., Mass is celebrated in the Chapel using the traditional language of Rite One.
At 10 a.m., a Sung Mass with Choir is celebrated using the contemporary language of Rite Two. In this liturgy, which makes use of many of the “High Church” traditions, we use incense, make processions, wear the traditional vestments, and sing and chant much of the service.
Weekday Worship
Morning Prayer is said in the Chapel at 8 a.m. Monday through Saturday (except Wednesday).
A simple said Mass is celebrated on Wednesdays at 8 a.m. in the Chapel and at 7 p.m. in the Choir.
